Terms of Sales
1. Customer Eligibility (Wholesale Sales Only)
BSI sells exclusively to distributors and qualified industrial supply customers. BSI reserves the right to approve, reject, suspend, or terminate accounts if a customer is not acting as a distributor or violates this policy.
2. Quotes & Pricing
Quotes are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Prices may change due to supplier increases, freight changes, tariffs, duties, or other costs outside BSI’s control.
3. Order Acceptance / Changes / Cancellations
Orders are accepted upon order acknowledgment or shipment. Changes or cancellations must be requested in writing and may be subject to restocking or cancellation fees. Special-order items may be non-cancellable.
4. Payment Terms
Accepted payment methods include approved credit cards, ACH, wire transfer, or other terms authorized by BSI. Standard terms are Net 30, subject to credit approval. Past-due balances may incur a 1.5 percent monthly service charge.
5. Taxes & Fees
Prices do not include sales tax unless stated. Buyer is responsible for applicable taxes and all bank or wire fees.
6. Shipping Terms & Freight Policy
Shipping terms are FOB Shipping Point unless stated otherwise. BSI will cover the cost of standard ground freight (motor freight or UPS Ground) on orders of $1,000 or more. Expedited shipping methods, including Next Day Air and Second Day Air require approval from your BSI sales representative; These shipments are billed to the customer and will ship via customer’s shipping account or via prepay and add.
7. Minimum Order Requirements
Minimum order is $50 for ground shipments and $100 for Next Day or Second Day shipments.
8. Same-Day Shipping
Same-day shipping is available on in-stock items for orders received by 4:00 PM CST/CDT. Large orders placed after 3:00 PM may be exempt.
9. Inspection, Shortages & Damage Claims
Buyer must inspect shipments immediately. Shortages or shipping errors must be reported within 2 business days; freight damage within 5 business days.
10. Returns (RGA Required)
Returns require an approved RGA and must be in new condition and original packaging. A 10% restocking fee applies unless due to BSI error. Return window is 3–5 business days after receipt.
11. Wrong Item / Shipping Error
If BSI ships the wrong item, full credit including freight will be issued. Customer ordering errors are subject to standard return policies.
12. Warranty
BSI passes through applicable manufacturer warranties when available. Warranty does not cover misuse, improper installation, contamination, or normal wear. Full BSI warranty details are available upon request.
13. Product Selection Responsibility
Buyer is responsible for confirming suitability of products for the intended application.
14. Limitation of Liability
BSI is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Total liability is limited to the invoice value of the products involved.
15. Force Majeure
BSI is not responsible for delays due to events beyond reasonable control, including supplier disruptions, carrier delays, labor actions, or acts of God.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama.
17. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with BSI quotes and invoices, constitute the entire agreement for the sale of goods.
18. LEGAL DISCLAIMER
Bearing Source for Industry is a wholesale distributor of bearings and related products and does not manufacture the products it sells. BSI does not control the design, materials, workmanship, installation, operating conditions, or final application of such products. All technical information, drawings, specifications, product descriptions, performance data, catalogs, recommendations, and application guidance are supplied for general reference only and are based on information provided by manufacturers or suppliers believed to be reliable. Buyer is solely responsible for determining suitability of products for the intended application. Except as expressly stated in writing, BSI disclaims all warranties, express or implied. Buyer assumes all risk arising from selection, use, handling, installation, operation, resale, or disposal of products purchased from BSI.
